[Main menu>Tools>Settings…>Resize]

Here you can select picture dimensions and resize algorithm. You can keep original picture size, or select some predefined values. If predefined values are not suitable select custom size. Also you can select to scale pictures by percentage.
Application offers few resize functions. You can test all of them and chose algorithm that mostly fit your need. Some of them sharp, some are softer.
